2017 Summer Reading Program
Build a Better World!

July 24 - August 18

Join us this summer for an exciting month of books, games, and crafts that encourage you to BUILD A BETTER WORLD!

How To Register: 
Children between the ages of 1 and 11 are invited to sign up for story times at the library starting immediately.  
You may stop in or call 297-8422.
Starting July 24th, visit the library to receive a reading log (ages 3-11).  Keep track of the minutes you spend reading, or being read to, at home.  When you reach all three goals before August 18th, you can enter to win a grand prize.  This year we are giving away 2 KINDLE FIRES!


Story Times: 
Every week we will have story times for different ages.  There will be stories, crafts, and games.  Make sure you sign up at the library to save a spot:

Ages 1-3 Every Wednesday morning starting July 26th from 9:30-10:00 AM.
Ages 4-6: Every Monday morning starting July 24th from 10-11 AM.

Ages 7-11: Every Tuesday morning starting July 25th from 10-11 AM.


Movie Days:  
Come enjoy a fun, free movie with your friends!  All ages are welcome!

Thursday, August 3rd : Lego Batman at 1:30 PM
Thursday, August 10th :  Moana at 1:30 PM
Thursday, August 17th : Boss Baby at 1:30 PM


Lego Club:
Invite your friends and test your Lego skills at the library (ages 5-11).  There will be challenges, free-building and lots of fun!

Special Programs:

All About Legos on Wednesday, July 26th at 2:00 PM
Join us as we learn all about how Legos were invented and the amazing things people have built with them.  This program is for ages 5 and up.  Admission is free!
Jester Puppets
on Friday, July 28th at 1:30 PM
The whole family is invited to this exciting and funny show for all ages!  Admission is free - invite your friends!!
Insect Zoo on Friday, August 11th (Time to be announced soon)
ISU Extension is hosting an amazing insect zoo - all ages are welcome and admission is free!  See (and touch) some awesome insects!
